Sexually transmitted disease is considered a very sensitive issue to tackle today. One of the most common sexually transmitted infections is called HPV or Human Papilloma Virus. This type of disease can cause cervical cancer and can affect both men and women. HPV treatment is the only solution as to there is no cure for this type of disease.

Having HPV is Hard To Accept
HPV greatly affects more women than men. The effect of HPV on the infected person is not really serious, but should not be taken lightly. The symptoms are mostly unnoticed; but each person is different, as some people feel an unclean feeling which is caused by the disease. HPV treatment does not necessarily mean eliminating the disease, since as of this moment, there is no cure for it. There should be proper diagnosis by the doctor before undergoing any treatment. Pregnant women are not even advised to undergo the treatment as it may affect their pregnancy.
Some common treatments for HPV:
First, try letting it heal on its own. Don’t do anything till the infection is gone. If the first option does not work, see the doctor and get advise on whether you need surgery or medication. You might be advised to undergo cryotherapy. Cyrotherapy is an HPV treatment that freezes the abnormal cells with the use of liquid nitrogen.
Surgery and radiation might also be used for those who are diagnosed with cervical cancer. If the cancer has not spread yet and is only found around the cervix area, the patient may be advised on the removal of their uterus, or what we call hysterectomy, as it is the only treatment for it. It makes the body fight the HPV that attacks the body and helps in reducing the genital warts.
A product is also introduced which could help make the bodys’ immune system to fight the virus, this treatment for HPV is more of a prevention than cure. It also helps in removing genital warts that are caused by HPV.
